Between the rain and preparing for the Corn Maze to open this coming weekend I have not had much time to blog. But today was an amazing day with Roxanne from Nazareth Artisan Studio.
We have been harvesting and drying Japanese Indigo, Dyers Marigold, Chamomile and other dye plants. So today I decided, before it gets even crazier, to make some time to work with Roxanne and learn the ins and outs of dying with some of these wonderful plants we have been cultivating.
Below are two sample silks we dyed with marigold.
And pictured here is some of our indigo stash drying. Can't wait for the next class. Evidently Indigo is a totally different process.
Stay tuned... more to come.
