My mom is an excellent cook. She is the quintessential nonna from Italy and her grandchildren call her Nonnina. That's what we called her mother.
For years I have wanted to do a cookbook of her recipes. But really, how do you write a legit recipe that goes – a little of this and a little of that. In the age of the internet I thought, how about we couple showing you to a little of this and a little of that.
The spices she uses are simple. Oregano, parsley, mint, black pepper, occasionally chives and red pepper flakes. I think that's it. She makes everything taste amazing with just a handful of spice.
