Corn Maze in Harmony NJ

Corn Maze:  Thanks for a great first year with our military themed corn maze! We will be announcing next year's design as soon as we have it ready.

We had a great event on November 11 for veterans and their families. Mark your calendar for 2018!

Tips for Visiting:

Wear comfortable shoes, as you are out in a corn field. We do not recommend flip flops or sandals.

It would be difficult to push a stroller through the maze. Children need to be able to walk the maze with you.

Bring water on hotter days (or we have for purchase at the stand, for your convenience).

Ask us for thing to do in the area. Our area of NJ is gorgeous and while you are here you may want to explore! There is apple picking, wineries, antiquing and more.

The Wall: Feel free to bring photos of your loved ones that served, or share your story on "The Wall" at the farmstand.

Local History: Throughout the corn maze visitors will find copies of letters, newsletters and other items about our local residents that served in World War II. Each of the 12 station in the corn maze have a collection of these items that were written to a local pastor, Lewis Grotenhuis, and a newsletter he published for the boys serving as a way of keeping them up to date with each other.

Two Corn Mazes in One: The corn maze consists of a larger maze, with 3.8 miles of trail, and a smaller maze, .3 miles, well suited for children ages 3-6, or a practice run. The small maze highlights 6 different characters or events of the Revolutionary War and has a punch card for little ones. For each punch card returned to us, we will donate $1 to the Military Order of the Purple Heart.

Our commitment: The Farm in Harmony is a place that honors our service men and women. Each year we will have a  military theme. Something that honors all those who have served and will continue to server our nation.

For our first maze, we have selected the POW/MIA flag emblem and here is a birds eye view.

Special thanks to Drew Cannon, certified remote pilot, for the drone footage.

This project in particular is in memory of Fred Grotenhuis, helicopter pilot, Vietnam Veteran, recipient of Purple Heart as well as Bronze Star with valor. Fred's wife Giulia started the farm with Kristi Drake. Fred and Ron had many business ventures together and so it makes sense that Giulia carry this tradition on in Fred's absence with Kristi. Fred was always fun, fearless and always on an adventure. So Giulia tells Ron she's the new Fred, as her and Kristi throw themselves into this new adventure.

The maze opens the weekend before or of September 11 and ends on Veterans Day with the Veterans Day Bash, a special event for Veterans and their families. Email for more details.
